Ashdown Classic DP-200 Drophead 15H Bass Amp Combo. The Ashdown Classic series are all valve amps with innovative operational and cosmetic designs for players where nothing but valves will do. The DP-200 is a quirky excellent rig. Simply unclip the top flip it round and the amp head in all it's full glory with tubes aglowing is on full display. This amp incorporates the DP-200 head with a 15"" Speaker and an HF tweeter. This delivers a powerfull punchy 200 watts. Features include Effects send & return, 3 band eq with mid shift, bass shift and bright switching and a balanced DI out. The amp cabinet is custom covered and is set off with a red speaker grille cloth. The amp looks and sounds as cool as you like. The amp where style and power is the requirement.

Taking its styling cues from classic US motorcycles, the Drophead 200 bass head grabs your attention before you even switch it on.

Throw the power switch and the Drophead 200 fires up a 4 x 6550 tube output stage for masses of low end grunt and plenty of torque through the rev range. The preamp comes straight from the 427 Small Block – a sensationally expressive vacuum tube design using 2 x ECC82, 1 x ECC99 and 2 x ECC82 valves.

The Drophead 200 head features high and low gain inputs, front panel-mounted FX send and return, rotary bass, middle and treble controls with mid shift, bass shift and bright switching, mute switch, rotary gain and master volume controls and balanced DI output with pre/post EQ switching.

Put one on top of a Classic Series cabinet and the result is one of the best-sounding and certainly best-looking bass rigs in the business.
