Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass Maple Neck Bass Guitar. This truly is a deluxe version of the old favourite Jazz Bass, one of the two most copied bass guitars ever.Here's a bit of history the bass was first available in 1960 as the ""Deluxe Model,"" it was marketed as a stablemate to the Jazzmaster guitar which was also marketed as a Deluxe Model.
The electrics have been updated to a modern circuit with N3 Noiseless pickups and a switchable active circuit providing far more headroom and a tighter bottom mid and bass. The natural finish uses an ash body and the other finishes alder. Alder is light in weight retains more of the highs and expands the lows and ash is a highly resonant timber. The neck is a modern C shape profile with medium jumbo frets and a bound fingerboard. The jazz neck is well loved for its thin neck (1.5"" at the nut). The controls are Master Volume, Pan Pot (pickup selector), Treble Boost/Cut, Midrange Boost/Cut, Bass Boost/Cut and an Active/Passive Mini Toggle.Other features include Strong-Arm™ string retainer, HMV bridge, Genuine bone nut, Tinted neck, Posiflex™ Graphite Neck Support Rods, 5-Bolt Neck Plate, Contoured Heel for Easier Access to Upper Frets, Rolled Fingerboard Edges, Highly Detailed Nut and Fret Work, Flat head screws on battery compartment (for easy changes with a coin or pick) and Black pearl (or white pearloid) dot inlays. This superb classic bass comes with an SKB square moulded case. Is available with a rosewood or a maple fingerboard.
