Orange TH30C Thunder 30 watt guitar amp combo. A handy feature is the output switching from 7 / 15 /30 watts thus enabling the amp to work at it's optimum tone at a suitable volume. The Amp is all valve Class A sporting 2 channels and a valve driven FX loop.The Distortion Channel features Gain, Shape(producing a variety of tones from rock to scooped metal) and Master Volume controls.
The Clean Channel has Volume and interactive Treble and Bass controls and produces tone from clean to overdriven blues and others in between.
The amp's valves are 2 x ECC83 preamp valves driving four EL84 output valves.The amp is loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30 12-inch speaker.
All in all a very useable amp for gigging or the studio.

Dual ECC81 valves drive the external effects loop. The combo features a Celestion Vintage 30 12-inch speaker.
When an amplifier's output valves are passing current at all times, the amplifier is said to be biased in Class-A, like the Orange Thunder 30 twin channel valve guitar combo amp. Because the current is flowing at all times, an input signal causes the current to flow immediately to the speakers, and therefore the sound is very fast and responsive to playing dynamics. There is also less crossover notch distortion when the signal passes from the positive to the negative voltage and negative to positive, since each side of the output section is already turned on.
