Guitar Cases are great value for Money
A guitar is often an expensive and valuable piece of equipment, therefore you need to keep it safe. The best way to do this is with a
guitar case, especially if you need to transport your guitar to different locations regularly, such as gig venues. Cheaper guitar cases tend to be quite thin, so it is wise to spend more on a case that has a hard outer shell and padding inside. If you only need a case to keep dust off your guitar you may be able to make do with a soft outer shell case. These are the main types of cases but you will find a range of cases suited to specific guitars too. Two main manufactures stand out, and these are Stagg guitar cases and a Hiscox guitar case.
Stagg Guitar Cases
Stagg guitar cases are great value for money and offer hard-shell cases, PVC handles and internal compartments. Stagg guitar cases are also tailored to fit the instruments exactly. Stagg guitar cases also come in variations such as rectangular cases or Flying V styles for more exotic
electric guitars. Stagg guitar cases are excellent value for money and provide fantastic protection. They are a well-known, reputable manufacturer and take care when designing their products.
LiteFlite Hiscox Guitar Case
Hicox provide a range of cases - one for almost every type of
guitar on the market. However, mention is due to the unique LiteFlite Hiscox guitar case that has been designed to be very lightweight and encompass the very latest in modern materials. This Hiscox guitar case uses a unique composite of double moulded construction, resulting in a case that is unparalleled for providing protection.
The construction of Hiscox cases bonds a plastic outer shell directly onto a unique inner moulding of high-tech cellular foam that is lightweight and semi rigid. This allows for the absorption of shocks and knocks. The outer shell consists of high impact resistant ABS plastic which produces strength and toughness as well as the ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures.
Hiscox cases are lined with a type of crushed velvet in differing grades, which is bonded directly onto the foam to ensure a perfect fit every time. Many of the Hiscox
guitar cases in the range also offer extra cushioning in the guise of upholstered pads, which can also be provided loose so that the cavity can provide a closer fit.
A Hiscox guitar cases provides an aluminium valance unique to the manufacturer, increasing rigidity. This valance extends deep inside Hiscox cases behind the plastic shell, and into this fits the hardware. The riveted fixing of a Hiscox case helps reduce any possibility of any fittings coming loose. Hiscox guitar cases are incredibly crush resistant and even the standard Hiscox cases are designed to withstand over 500 kg of weight.
