The ideal alternative to electric guitars - Ridgewood Acoustic Guitars

At entry level, you cannot beat Ridgewood guitars for both value and quality of sound. Our Ridgewood acoustic guitars are built from woods like mahogany, cedar and maple, are expertly built and beautifully lacquered, and come complete with a tough case.

This means Ridgewood acoustic guitars both sound and look good. Our Ridgewood guitars have the timbre and quality of instruments many times the price.

At Fret Music, we understand how important it is that beginners have a quality instrument to learn on. Our range of Ridgewood guitars will carry you from early first chords to grade 8 levels and beyond. With Ridgewood acoustic guitars, you can sound like a pro!

The unique sound of Ridgewood acoustic guitars

There is little to touch Ridgewood guitars when it comes to sound. Our Ridgewood acoustic guitars are equally suited to every type of music; from classical to jazz, folk to rock.

No electric guitar will pick out a tune quite the way Ridgewood guitars do. Players can create intricate solos in the style of acoustic greats like Julian Bream, Eva Cassidy and George Harrison.

Get inspired with Ridgewood

Fret Music’s acoustic Ridgewood guitars allow you plenty of scope. Latin, classical, rock, folk, jazz… all your favourite licks and progressions can be recreated on any one of these guitars.

Whether rock or jazz style, Ridgewood acoustics are superb for playing the blues. The versatility of these guitars makes them totally suited to all types of music.

You can play Ridgewood acoustic guitars anytime, anywhere

What could be nicer than going into a pub, and seeing a solitary musician picking out a classic Bossa tune, equipped with nothing more than a well tuned acoustic guitar and a head full of music?

The versatility of non-amplified acoustic guitars makes them ideal for transporting to gigs and open microphone sessions. Unlike electric guitars, Ridgewood guitars don’t need bulky amplifiers and yards of cables. These acoustics come complete with case - all you need do is throw it over your shoulder and go.

Choose from 6 or 12 string Ridgewood acoustic guitars

Our range of Ridgewood guitars even includes a 12 string version (the NA30/12) This guitar gives a richer, more ringing tone than regular 6 string acoustics.

With 12 string acoustic Ridgewoods you can create ‘chorus effect’ changes in the style of David Bowie, Neil Young and Brian May, at a fraction the cost of other 12 stringers on the market.

Dreadnought Ridgewood guitars - style with value

The Ridgewood guitars we stock are the NA30 6 and 12 string, NA60 and NA72 models. All feature superb styling and are outstandingly lacquered and finished.

All our Ridgewood instruments are created using several types of wood. All have solid cedar or spruce tops and die cast nickel heads.

The neck and body of NA30 Ridgewood acoustic guitars are made from rosewood and maple, with mahogany back and sides. The NA60 and 72 Ridgewood guitars boast rosewood back and sides, mahogany necks and tortoiseshell pick guards.

All our Ridgewood acoustic guitars are fitted with top quality D'Addario strings, and come complete with a deluxe Stagg hard-shell case, currently retailing at £69!

This makes Ridgewood acoustic guitars the best value guitars around, whether you are a master player or complete beginner.
