The rolling sound should never end
The key to playing
electric guitar lies in your choice of instrument and in your amp. Every rock star wannabe often learns to appreciate this beauty. As a beginner most musicians have not yet have developed ears able to recognise differing sounds. Nor do they generally have enough knowledge about their instrument, enough anyway to understand things such as controls and the like.
The reality when it comes to picking an amp is in trying them, reading good reviews and asking the professionals. However an amp should be of really good quality if it is to last the distance and help you become the best you can be.
Roland amps are known for their clean tones and with their wide variety of models you are sure to find one that suits you perfectly. Take the Roland Micro Cube for instance which is the first battery powered amp ever distributed. Forming part of the Roland Cube series of combo amps, the Roland Micro Cube is small and lightweight. The Roland Micro Cube offers two watts output with 5” speakers. And the Roland Micro Cube forms part of the Roland Cube series of combo amplifiers which include the Roland Cube, Roland Cube-30 and Roland Cube-60.
Roland Cubes have long been on the market and following the 2004 release of the Roland Micro Cube they have expanded their offerings to include the Roland Cube-30 and the Roland Cube-60.Another in the stable of Roland Cube series is the Roland Cube-30 which offers almost unbelievable value in compact amps. With its 10” speaker ad 30 watt output it offers built in DSP effects and the COSM modelling allows for 8 different and distinct guitar amp sounds. The Roland Cube-30 also provides and EFX section for chorus, flanger, tremolo as well as phaser all controllable via an optional footswitch.
Bigger is better
The Roland Cube series now includes an amp geared toward larger venues. The Roland Cube-60 certainly packs a punch with its 60 watt output wrapped up in a neat 12” speaker design. Perfectly situated in the series the Roland Cube-60 offers a new DynaAmp feature which allows for expressive control over enhanced dynamics and tone transitions. The Roland Cube-60 also has 6 classic built in effects similar to the Roland Cube-30 and 9 COSM guitar amp models built in.
The Roland Cube-60 delivers more power and performance within its compact design making it easier to transport from gig to gig. This little gem allows you to get a transparent sound simply by picking softly and if you want to play more aggressively it will provide a powerful hi-gain amp sound.
Roland is nothing but consistent in providing many features and models in their Roland Cube series each providing a very clean sound. Whether you are after a Roland Micro Cube or something larger you can thank the Roland Cube series for offering a dynamic amp wrapped up in a very small package.
